Social Intervention Term 3

Continuing in Term 3, students will have the chance to take part in social intervention groups. These groups will be run to explicitly teach and reinforce social skills. These can include (but are not limited to) communication, cooperation, making friends, impulse control, and PBL expectation practice.

Groups will run for 20-25 min weekly and will be hands on. Students will play games, do role plays, etc. to explicitly practice skills. Small groups will be multi-age and will take place over Thursday’s and Friday’s during class time.

Teachers have been asked to put forward students who they feel may benefit from the explicit teaching of social skills. If your child has their name put forward for this program, you will receive communication via email. Those students who took part in Term 2 will automatically continue in Term 3, unless otherwise indicated by a parent or teacher.
