Art

The art room has been full of colour, creativity and experimentation, with every year level exploring painting, printmaking and colour mixing in different ways.
- Prep Students have been using paint sticks to create vibrant, colourful backgrounds, layered with oil pastel drawings to add texture and detail.
- Grade 1 Students have been painting bright and imaginative landscapes using acrylic paint, developing their confidence with colour and brush techniques.
- Grade 2 Students created still-life artworks of flowers using acrylic paint. Working with only the primary colours plus black and white, they mixed a full range of colours and tones to bring their paintings to life.
- Grade 3/4 Students have been experimenting with gelli-plate printing, using found objects from nature to create layered and textured prints inspired by the natural world.
- Grades 5/6 Students have been designing and printing their own foam relief prints, carefully carving and printing multiple editions of their artworks.
Alongside these projects, all students have contributed to a special Waring Season (Wombat Season) display on the art room windows. Their beautiful drawings and writing celebrate what Waring Season looks like in our local environment. Please come by the art room to enjoy the display and see the wonderful work our students have created this term.
