Health Expo 2024
What a great day we had! Thanks to all of the external agencies/services and local sporting groups that came along to make the day fun and educational.
The morning began with a rotation of six, 30 minute sessions. These were:
Garden produce - Echuca Regional Health, Healthy Schools Project
Fitness - Physio Ruby from REDHS
Headspace - Jayden from Headspace
Travel safe in Rochester - ACHPER Active Schools and Echuca Regional Heatlh
Wellbeing - Bern and Ms Ross (Drum Beat)
Story Walk - Campaspe Library
This was followed by a healthy lunch which was funded through the Healthy Schools Project with Echuca Regional Health.
After lunch Lockinton Consolidated School joind us for the Expo. Guests we had at our expo included; Yoga Spot, Rochester Basketball, Rochester Netball Association, Rochester Junior Football Club and AFL Victoria, Rochester Cricket, Rochester Little Athletics, Rochester Tennis Club, Tennis Victoria and Milo, Rochester SES, Ambulance Victoria, Rochester Community House, Pickleball Echuca, Kaye who helped with beading as well as our morning presenters who stayed around. We also had Mum and Me Coffee there for our parents, staff and guests to enjoy! Due to a busy day helping our community the CFA was unable to attend but we thank them for their willingness to be invovled and for helping our community.
Thank you to our staff who ran other fun and tasty stalls including beading with Kaye, Nerf challenge, coloured hair spray, slinky apples, fruit kebabs, smoothies and a yoghurt bar.
At the conclusion of the day students recieved a 'Showbag' with some little treats and information from most of the activities available in Rochester incase they would like to further explore the possibility of joining. Thanks to Mind Australia for supplying the bags and MTA for donating the fidget toy.
