Goondiwindi Eisteddfod 2025
On behalf of the Goondiwindi Apex Eisteddfod Committee, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the principals, teachers, teacher aides, parents, and—most importantly—the students, whose efforts and enthusiasm made this year’s eisteddfod such a success. We hope everyone enjoyed the experience, and we look forward to welcoming you again in 2026.

Previous week
Nina Cameron - Congratulations Nina for being brave and participating in all athletics activities with a smile on your face. (absent)
Gabriella Nicula - For showing determination during both Athletics carnivals. Your team spirit shines bright. (absent)
Gabriella Nicula - For showing persistence with her Mathematics.
Caleb Hiles - For continued demonstration of his leadership skills, they have been unwavering in 2025.
Charlotte P - For always facing learning with a smile and listening to feedback to improve her work.
Clancy Bird - For working hard to achieve his goal to put his hand up when he needs to speak.
Week 6
Grace Giltrow - for trying really hard to follow the OREO framework for helping her 'ducks' persuade Farmer Brown for a theme park.
Max Borchardt - Great work Max for trying to convince Farmer Brown that the ducks needed a boat and a diving board for their pond.
Briella Borchardt - for her dedication and work through challenge, leading to great successes and amazing wins.
Annabelle Bird - for her quiet determination to complete tasks in class.
Moonie Small Schools Athletics Representatives

Horse Sports Day
Friday 8th August saw Charlotte D, Briella & Max represent Moonie School at the St Joesph’s Horse Sports Day in Chinchilla.
Max had a great day in his assisted age group winning lots of stickers & ribbons on a new horse Rosie.
Charlotte & Briella had a massive age group where Briella was awarded overall age Champion.
Special mention to Charlotte & Max who both won their rider classes, well deserved & a great result.
We would also like to wish Briella the best of luck when she competes at the QLD State Championships next month in Kingaroy representing zone 4 for formal, sporting & the stockman's challenge.
She has worked so hard & has ridden extremely well this past 12 months to qualify so GOOD LUCK BRIELLA & MISS ANNIE ACRES.
