Principal's Address

Hello to all Moonie Families and Community,

Term 3 – Week 7

It’s Week 7! A few more short weeks and we will be beginning our school holidays. Classrooms are busy again with assessment starting across most of our learning areas. We encourage families if you would like to contact the school about your child’s progress please email or phone. We will be offering formal parent teacher interviews at the beginning of next term and information about these will come home in the Week 9 Newsletter.

Library Challenge

The Library Book Reading Challenge is continuing. Well done to the students who have bought their challenge sheets back and have started to move up the chart. It will be great to see each student reach their goals and receive their prizes. Library will be open for students to change their library books on a Tuesday and Thursday.

Coming Up

We wish Caleb all the best as he competes in his Discus trials as part of the Tara & District Team in St George on Friday. We will all be cheering you on!

Father’s Day is just around the corner – Our afternoon for our Dad’s is happening during Week 8 and invitations have been sent home. We look forward to celebrating Moonie Dad’s and all the great things that you do, you might need to wear your runners!

Student Free Day next Friday the 22nd of September

Beach to Bush is coming to Moonie in Week 9 – we are looking forward to Surf Life Saving Queensland coming to Moonie and showing us what they do each and every day.
