Yr 1 World Dance

Last Friday our Year One students had a wonderful time participating in our World Dance Incursion. They travelled across all seven continents, learning about different cultures, traditions and dances from around the world.

Through music, movement and costumes, students explored how people celebrate and express their cultures. It was a fun and engaging experience that encouraged appreciation for the incredible diversity of our world.

Yr 3 Mad about Science

Students in Year 3 had a fantastic time participating in the Chemistry Chaos Incursion, where science came to life through exciting experiments and demonstrations. Students explored different chemical reactions, observed some surprising changes and learnt about the science behind what they were seeing. There were plenty of “wow” moments as students discovered just how fun, messy and exciting chemistry can be! It was a highly engaging, hands-on experience that encouraged curiosity, questioning and a love of science.

Bookweek

What a huge success Book Week was again at Torquay College. An author visit from award winning author Stef Gemmill was a hit for the Foundation, Year 1 and Year 2 students.  The book week parade was a highlight with some wonderful costumes celebrating books and movies.  Thankyou to those families who were able to come along and enjoy this experience with us.
