Art

Kate has been working on printmaking this term, and the students have created some incredible artwork using lino cutting and ink. She also has some exciting plans in the works for next term.

F/1/2/3 Classes

The junior classes have wrapped up their learning on the spheres and celebrated by sharing their learning with families. They used their knowledge from the inquiry units to write and publish stories, create reports, and present their learning through dioramas and collection chests.

Teachers have also been carefully and creatively planning next term’s units, and there are some great ideas and local excursions already in the pipeline. Two weeks is a long time to wait for all the exciting learning planned for Term 4.

4/5/6 Classes

The Year 3, 4 and 5 students went on the Healthy Waterways excursion, supported by Hadley. The Year 5 students also presented their zines on different native frogs and shared some of their learning from this term.

The 4/5 class also headed down to the creek for some exploration and outdoor play.

The newsroom has been busy, with reporters out and about researching stories, filming, editing and producing the latest breaking news. Many of the articles are still in production and will be available in our next newsletter.

Our senior classes will continue with the newsroom and begin new inquiry learning next term. They also have Urban Camp, P4P (Preparation for Puberty) and Relationships 101 with Dhelkaya Health coming up, so there is plenty happening.

We will also have students taking part in the Victorian High-Ability Program (VHAP) next term, which is a great opportunity for them to extend their learning and skills.
