Dear Families,

We have had another wonderful week here at Dana Street Primary School. Excitement is building at the school for the Authentic Inquiry Actions, where students share their inquiry learning with one another. 

Today at Assembly, we celebrated the winning house and age group champions from Athletics Day. Congratulations to Spielvogel House for winning overall, an outstanding effort by everyone. 

Harmony Week - Everyone Belongs 

This week, our students have been doing activities to broaden their understanding of Harmony Week - Everyone Belongs. One of the activities was to create an artwork showing how everyone is connected around the world.

Did you know?

• More than 7.5 million people have migrated to Australia since 1945?
• Almost half of Australians were either born overseas or have a parent who was.
• We identify with around 300 ancestries.
• Over the past 70 years, more than seven and a half million migrants have made Australia home.

Our students also participated in a Buddies and Mates activity celebrating Harmony Week last week. 

New School Council

On Tuesday evening, we held our first School Council meeting with our new members. At this meeting, we elected our office bearers for the 2026 school year. We would like to congratulate the following office bearers for the Dana Street School Council:
