Our Book Club has kicked off its new reads for Term 4!
This term, participants picked the name of another member and were challenged to choose a book for that person to read. We’ve had a fantastic variety of reasons behind the choices, from selecting a favourite book they’ve already enjoyed to interviewing the recipient to discover their interests and find the perfect match.
It’s been a great way to share book recommendations, make connections, discover something new and step outside our usual reading choices. I can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks of their selections!

A friendly reminder that the HCCB Library is a safe and welcoming space for students who need somewhere quiet to reset, recharge or simply take a break.
The Reading Area is an especially important space for students who need some peace and quiet. Please be mindful of others and help us keep this area calm, quiet and respectful.
We all love a good chat! However, if you’d like to catch up with friends or have a conversation, please move to another area of the library, while remembering that this is still a library space.
By being considerate of one another, we can make sure the library remains a comfortable and supportive place for everyone.

Exciting news! We’ve had a delivery of new books arrive this week, and they’re ready for you to explore.
Some titles have already proven very popular and have gone straight out on loan. If the book you’re after is already borrowed, don’t worry — you can place a reserve on it so you’ll be next in line.
Need a hand placing a reserve? Pop into the library, and I’ll show you how.
Remember, you can browse our library catalogue and reserve books from anywhere, at any time.
We’re also continually adding new titles to our digital collection on ePlatform, so there’s always something new to discover, wherever you are.
If you need help accessing our digital resources, send me a SEQTA direct message or come and see me in the library. I’m always happy to help you get set up!

Silent Reading Sessions are officially underway for term 4.
🔓 These sessions are open to all students and staff who want a quiet space to relax and enjoy a good book.
Session Rules: ❌ No laptops ❌ No chit-chat ✅ Just quiet reading
📅 When: Every Wednesday at lunchtime 🍴 Note: Please eat your lunch before entering – no food allowed in the library.
If that sounds like your ideal lunchtime, we’d love to see you there!
I have locked in a daily lunchbreak during P4. The library will be closed during this time for any borrowing.
If any students require a laptop during this time, please head to the Study Centre.
❗Staff, if students require supervision, please make alternate arrangements.
