A huge thank you to all of the parents, carers and students who attended our Working Bee last Friday afternoon.
Despite the chilly weather, our school community rolled up its sleeves and achieved an incredible amount in just a few hours. Volunteers spread mulch throughout garden areas, built new garden bed frames, moved sand into the sandpit, tackled weeding projects and completed a range of other jobs around the school grounds.
These events make a significant difference to our school environment and help ensure our students have attractive, engaging and well-maintained spaces in which to learn and play. Just as importantly, they provide a wonderful opportunity for families to connect and contribute to our school community.
Thank you to everyone who gave up their Friday afternoon to lend a hand. Your support is genuinely appreciated.

Today we celebrated reaching our school-wide SWPBS goal with a much-anticipated Pyjama, Popcorn and Movie Day. The timing could not have been more perfect, with the wind bringing some cooler weather to school and creating ideal conditions for students (and staff!) to arrive dressed in their cosiest pyjamas.
I only spotted a few students staff members having a nap during the day, and who could blame them when everyone was dressed for maximum comfort and it was such a good day for sleeping! (Only joking, of course!)
While there was certainly plenty of fun to be had, our day remained focused on learning. In fact, even the movies being enjoyed across the school were carefully linked to curriculum learning opportunities. Don't tell the students, we'd hate to spoil the illusion that it was all just for fun!
Congratulations to all students for the positive behaviours, teamwork and school pride that helped us reach our Celebration Day milestone.

Next week is the final week of Term 2!
A reminder that Wednesday 24 June is a Student-Free Day, with parent-teacher interviews taking place throughout the day. If you have not yet booked your interview, please do so as soon as possible.
Please ensure students are collected promptly at 2:30pm. For families requiring care after the early dismissal, TheirCare will be operating as usual.
As excitement builds for this Saturday night's Trivia Night, I would like to extend an enormous thank you to Tia and Janet, who have dedicated countless volunteer hours to planning, organising and preparing what promises to be a fantastic community event.
Events like these simply do not happen without the commitment, energy and generosity of volunteers, and our school community is incredibly fortunate to have such dedicated parents supporting us.
A reminder that the online auction is now live, with some items already snapped up! If you have been considering making a bid or purchasing an item, don't wait too long as opportunities are disappearing quickly.
We look forward to a wonderful evening of fun, fundraising and community spirit on Saturday night. Good luck to all our trivia teams! We hope nobody is too disappointed when one of the staff tables wins!
Following on from my words on keeping everyone safe in last week's Newsletter, I want to continue by emphasising that Child Safety is paramount to all that we do at Box Hill North Primary School and Kindergarten.
Our child safety framework includes policies, codes and procedures that explain how we support and maintain the safety and wellbeing of our students and protect them from harm. These documents are available on our website: Policies & Documents | Box Hill North Primary School & Kindergarten
We are also committed to continuous improvement of our child safety framework. We are currently reviewing our child safety policies and practices to ensure they are up-to-date and effective.
Our students and families are important partners in this process. We welcome your feedback or ideas on ways we can improve our approach to child safety and wellbeing.
If you have any suggestions or comments, please contact Box Hill North Primary School on 03 9890 5023 or at box.hill.north.ps@education.vic.gov.au.
