Term 3 – Week 1 Recap Welcome back to Term 3!
It has been wonderful to see all the children return full of energy and excitement, ready for another fantastic term at Before and After School Care.
This week we rearranged our learning environment to create fresh and engaging spaces for the children to explore. We would also like to say a big thank you to Mitchell and George's parents for their generous donation. The children have loved our new dinosaur display, which inspired lots of imaginative role play, storytelling and collaborative play.
Together with the children, we also created a restaurant play space to extend their knowledge, creativity and social skills. Children enjoyed taking on different roles, writing menus, serving customers and working together, helping to build communication, confidence and problem-solving skills.
Throughout the week, the children expressed their creativity through a variety of arts and crafts activities, producing colourful and unique masterpieces. They also had lots of fun staying active in the gym, where down ball was a favourite activity, encouraging teamwork, coordination and friendly competition.
It has been a fantastic start to Term 3, and we look forward to another exciting term filled with learning, creativity and fun!
Term 3 – Week 2 Recap. Fun! Fun! Fun!
This week at Before and After School Care, the children enjoyed a variety of fun, creative, and active experiences in a safe and engaging environment. Our creative area was very popular, with children enjoying diamond art and making their own keychains. These activities encouraged creativity, patience, fine motor skills, and self-expression.
Children also participated in an exciting down ball tournament, where they had the opportunity to compete with one another, practise good sportsmanship, build confidence, and further develop their physical skills.
Throughout the week, many children took part in basketball and soccer games working together to improve their teamwork, coordination, communication, and fundamental movement skills.
Our Play-Doh station remained a favourite, with children using their imagination to create a variety of models and designs. This activity supported creativity, problem-solving, and fine motor development while encouraging meaningful conversations and collaborative play. It has been wonderful to see the children actively participating, making new friendships, and demonstrating respect, teamwork, and resilience throughout all activities. We look forward to another exciting week of learning through play.

Lalor East TheirCare also follows Sun Smart and as of 1 September, we encourage children when going outside to place suncream and sunhats.
Please make sure your child have a hat in their bag for when attending our session.
If your child requires special sunscreen please let the staff know, as we only carry 50+ homebrand.
Parents are required to get their child/ren warmer jackets as we encourage and support indoor/outdoor play.
It would be amazing to have families share any recipes with us as we are starting with our Cooking club as of next week
