PVCC Students Awarded High Achievement 

WiseTech Global Programming Competition Round 2

Their performance was formally recognised by Grok Academy with a personalised certificate.

Their success reflects not only technical skill and dedication but also the strong support and supervision provided by Mr Clarence Goh, IT Teacher at PVCC.

 

About the Competition

The WiseTech Global Programming Competition is a free national coding contest run by Grok Academy, with more than $30,000 in cash and experiential prizes available. 

Key features include:

  • Two rounds: Round 1 held on 31 July 2025 (80 minutes, intermediate problems) 
  • Round 2 held on 3 September 2025 (100 minutes, more advanced problems) 

Beyond cash prizes, winners may also be offered opportunities such as tours of WiseTech Global offices or interviews for WiseTech’s Earn & Learn program. 

 

Significance for PVCC

This recognition underscores PVCC’s focus on fostering computational thinking, problem-solving, and innovation among students. Joel and Arnav’s achievement sets a benchmark for others in digital technologies and programming.

 

Congratulations to Jacob F, Joel B, Arnav C for this impressive accomplishment. The combination of student effort, strategic guidance, and supportive supervision has led to success at the national level.

Uniform Update

We are pleased to introduce an updated sports short, now available at the Bob Stewart Uniform Shop.

The new design includes:

  • A unisex version for both primary and secondary students, in sizes 4 Child to 3XL Adult priced at $34.95.
  • A girls’ version for secondary students, featuring an inner bike short for added comfort, in sizes 10 Child to 20 Adult, priced at $59.95.

Both options are made from an improved, high-quality sportswear fabric and include an embroidered logo for enhanced durability.

Please note, the current sports shorts remain fully acceptable to wear as part of the sports uniform.

As we enter Term 4, a friendly reminder that students must transition into Summer Uniform for the remainder of the year. 

 

We have a 3 week transition period, so it if it a little chilly, students may opt to wear the winter uniform during this time. As of Monday, 27 October, all students will be expected to be in full Summer Uniform. Reminder HATS are a requirement for outdoor play in Term 4 for all Primary students.
