Events and Excursions

Twilight Open Night

Our Twilight Open Night is coming up on Thursday, 23 October from 4:30-7:00pm. Please help us spread the word to anyone you know who might be keen to have a look at our college and encourage them to come along and take a tour.  We would also appreciate your prayers for this upcoming event and ask you to join with us in prayer that God would lead the right people to this college, for good weather, and energy for staff who are working on the night in the midst of a busy term of events.

For any families interested in joining our college community, we invite you to come along and enjoy a night of student-led tours, a chance to meet leaders and teachers, as well as an opportunity to see how we, as a Christian college live out our faith.

Year 12 final weeks

As we begin Term 4, our Year 12 students are undertaking their final 2 weeks of classes before their exam period, and it is a really significant time for them at the end of their schooling.

There have been many “last” events for them at Plenty Valley as students so far this year, and in addition to these, there are a number of special events to celebrate and mark the end of an era. Thankfully, our community is so well connected that we will see many of these families and friends at future events, but there is a certain significance of your last year of secondary school and knowing you will never have this time again with your student cohort.

As believers in Christ, we recognise how we can do nothing in our own strength, and so we invite our faithful PVCC community to join with us in prayer for our Year 12 cohort, for their upcoming exams, the Valedictory Dinner tonight, celebratory end of year events next week including the special Blessing Assembly with the Prep students, and most of all that they will know God's peace that surpasses all understanding as they move through this significant time in their life and look forward to their future beyond school.

World Teacher’s Day lunch

Save the date – on Thursday 30 October we will be celebrating World Teachers Day and treating our wonderful staff with a lunch!

This is your opportunity to show our thanks to those who work tirelessly to serve, nurture and help grow our children.  Please keep an eye out for an email coming out soon about opportunities for you to contribute to this special event.

These events are such a blessing for our dedicated staff and a great reflection of our generous community.

Heart of the Valley

Any funds raised at Heart of the Valley from the sales of drinks are donated toward purchasing native trees to help the event to be carbon neutral and live out our value of Actively Stewarding the beautiful environment that God has provided.  The organisation that we partner with is called Fifteen Trees, who have shared the following thank-you message with our community:

Dear PVCC,

Thank you for supporting our community tree planting projects with a purchase of native trees (75).

These trees will be planted this spring. We will send you the link once your trees have been planted and our website has been updated.

A heartfelt thank you from us and all the community volunteers who are working hard on their revegetation projects in Australia.
