The last few weeks have been both busy and exciting for our students, filled with opportunities that enrich their school experience at POPS. These memorable moments are made possible through the dedication of our staff and the wonderful support of parents and grandparents who generously give their time.
Our Year 5/6 students, staff, and parent helpers are having a fantastic time at camp on Phillip Island. Last night they rugged up and braved the cold to watch the fairy penguins waddle across the beach to their nests at the Penguin Parade.
Today has been action-packed, with students taking on the flying fox, giant swing, canoeing, and archery. A heartfelt thank you to our amazing staff for their time, care, and energy in making this camp such a memorable experience for everyone.
Yesterday our Year 3/4 Hooptime basketball teams represented POPS with great spirit and sportspersonship. It was wonderful to see students working together, encouraging each other, and showing such determination on the court. A big thank you to the staff and parent helpers who supported the teams and made the day possible.
This Monday we will hold our student-led Aussie of the Month assembly, celebrating a Year 2 student who demonstrates our school values of kindness, respect, excellence and inte and community spirit.
We are also delighted to welcome a representative from CareNet, who will share the important work their organisation does to support families in need.
To support CareNet, our SRC are running a food drive. We encourage all families to bring along non-perishable food items to donate, every contribution will make a difference to local families.
These assemblies are always a highlight as we recognise the everyday actions that make our school such a positive and caring community.

As we approach the end of Term 3, we encourage all students to finish strong and continue to embrace the opportunities that make POPS such a vibrant and supportive learning environment.
