3/4 Hooptime Basketball

On Wednesday 10th September, we went to Dandenong Basketball Stadium for Junior (year 3 and 4) Hooptime Basketball. We had 10 teams participating; 2 All Star teams, 6 Future Star teams and 2 Rookie teams. We played mini games with two 8-minute halves against other schools in our pools. There were 7 other schools participating on this day. 

Everyone showed good sportsmanship and our POPS values. We had lots of fun and an awesome time with our friends and our team mates. 

We had a very successful day with 4 teams making the Grand final and 3 teams moving onto the next stage which is Regional finals. 

The All Star girls team won a thrilling grand final by 1 point against Berwick Chase PS. The All Star boys team won by 20 against St John’s Vianny. The Future Stars ‘Owls’ girls team also won the grand final by 4 points against Bridgewood PS. Unfortunately, the Future Stars ‘Octopuses’ team lost in the grand final against Our Lady of the Good Counsel.

We would like to thank all the parents and teachers for watching us, cheering us on and off the court and for also helping out as coaches and team managers.
