Middle Sub School Leader Rooms 10-18
Dear parents and carers,
It has been wonderful connecting with so many of our Middle Sub School families during our Student Support Group (SSG) meetings. We are now halfway through our SSG schedule, with meetings continuing until Friday 14 August, and I look forward to meeting with many more families over the coming week.
SSGs are a valuable opportunity for families, students and staff to celebrate progress, review Individual Education Plan (IEP) goals, and work together to plan the next steps that will support each student to continue to thrive. Thank you for your ongoing partnership and support.
Looking ahead, on Tuesday 18 August, our Middle Sub School students will participate in the RACV Safety Squad incursion. This interactive program will provide students with practical pedestrian road safety skills through engaging, differentiated activities delivered by experienced educators. Students will learn about recognising road signs, using crossings safely, and making safe decisions in the community, helping to build their confidence and independence.
We look forward to another exciting few weeks of learning across the Middle Sub School.
Warm Regards,
Stefania Mantinioti
Middle Sub School Leader
During Term 2 and 3 students in Room 12 have enjoyed a variety of incursions and excursions. Most notable was the outing to Croc’s playcentre, where students got to enjoy playing together and on their own. Amongst the most popular equipment at the centre, were the dodgem cars, the slides and of course the food.
As part of the extra -curricular events, students have enjoyed taking part in the School Colour Run, NAIDOC week First Nations experience, Canine Comprehension classroom visits as well the School Disco. Room 12 students and staff are looking forward to the RACV Safety Awareness program that will be taking place over the next couple of weeks and the Jacana School Concert, which is to be on fire!
