Paisley Campus News

Dear Families,
Congratulations to Year 11 VET Automotive student, Levi who received a gold medal at World Skills competition held in June. Levi will now represent Victoria at the next stage of this competition.
Attendance
Regular attendance continues to be one of the strongest predictors of student success, and it has been wonderful to see so many of our students prioritising being at school and engaging fully in their learning.
For our Year 10 students, this semester provides the final foundations before commencing their VCE program, where maintaining a minimum attendance rate of 90% is an important expectation. Our Year 11 students, with a growing understanding of the academic demands of VCE, continue to show up each day ready to learn and make the most of every opportunity. Meanwhile, our Year 12 cohort are entering the home stretch of their secondary schooling and continue to demonstrate resilience, dedication and focus as they work towards their final goals.
We thank families for their ongoing support in reinforcing the importance of attendance and ensuring students are present, engaged and ready to learn each day.
11 VM – Spotswood Primary School Athletics Carnival
On Friday, July 17, our Year 11 Vocational Major (VM) students supported the Spotswood Primary School Athletics Day.
Throughout the day, our students assisted with events, encouraged participants, helped organise activities, and worked alongside staff to ensure the day ran smoothly. Most importantly, they demonstrated outstanding leadership, responsibility and teamwork in their interactions with the primary school students.
Community involvement is an important part of the VM program, providing students with opportunities to develop employability skills, build confidence and make meaningful contributions beyond the classroom. Experiences such as this allow students to put their learning into practice while strengthening connections with local schools and community groups.
Year 10 Work Experience
This week all year 10 students are participating in work experience. We wish all students the best as they participate in this exciting opportunity. This valuable program provides students with an opportunity to explore potential career pathways, develop workplace skills and gain firsthand experience in an industry of interest.

Year 10 and 11 students are in the process of choosing their 2027 programs. Our pathways team will meet with students over the coming two weeks to finalise this process.
