SRC Steps Up: Shaping the Future of Borrack Square!

Change is coming to our local hub, and our Student Representative Council (SRC) members made sure our voices were heard loud and clear! Recently, our student leaders joined the broader community in the consultation process for the upcoming Borrack Square redevelopment.

Showing true community-minded leadership, the SRC actively participated in the conversations surrounding the new landscape masterplan. They advocated for safer pedestrian crossings, vibrant public gathering space and seating, and increased safety that benefit residents of all ages. By stepping up to represent their peers, our SRC demonstrated exactly what it means to be active, responsible citizens. We are incredibly proud of their dedication to making our local neighbourhood a safer, more welcoming space for everyone!

Year 9s Take on the City: Leadership, Learning, and Parliament!

The first of our Year 9 students officially kicked off their highly anticipated City Experience program, with an exciting first stop at Parliament House! This immersive program is designed to challenge our students by incorporating the new metrics capabilities, pushing them to track and reflect on their personal growth in real time.

Throughout their time in the city, the Year 9s are being stretched to showcase three core elements: communication, collaboration, and agency. Whether navigating the urban landscape as a team, engaging in debates at Parliament, or managing their own schedules, they are truly stepping out of their comfort zones and taking ownership of their learning. We can’t wait to see how they continue to develop these essential real-world skills over the course of the program!

Celebrating 100 Days of Prep!

In the coming days we will have reached a massive milestone in the school calendar—our wonderful Prep students will have officially been at school for 100 days!

It feels like just yesterday these tiny children walked through the school gates for the very first time. In just 100 days, they have grown immensely, mastering new routines, making friends, and diving headfirst into reading, writing, and counting. From learning their phonics to discovering the joys of the playground, their enthusiasm and curiosity have brought so much energy to our school community.

To celebrate, our Preps will be dressed up and participate in a day full of fun, "100-themed" learning activities. We are incredibly proud of how far they have come, how hard they have worked, and the resilience they show every single day.

Congratulations to our Prep students (and their families!) on a fantastic first 100 days. We can’t wait to see what you achieve in the next 100!
