Production Ticket Sales 2026

Tickets for our upcoming whole-school production of Beauty and the Beast Jr., together with the Prep–Year 3 showcase Belle’s Book Shop, went on sale on Monday 3 August 2026.

Ticket Information

All tickets are $35.

In accordance with theatre regulations, children under 2 years of age are admitted free of charge, but must sit on a parent or carer’s lap.

Initially, each family (not each student) may purchase up to 2 tickets. This is to ensure that every family has the opportunity to attend.

Please note: Murrumbeena PS students who are performing in the production do not require a ticket.

Families will have two weeks to purchase their allocated 1–2 tickets. From Monday 17 August, any remaining tickets will be released for general sale until sold out.

Important: If you do not purchase your allocated tickets before general sales open on 17 August, you may miss out on tickets altogether.

We understand that many families would love to purchase additional tickets. However, our priority is to ensure that every family has the opportunity to purchase at least two tickets. We appreciate your understanding and support.

The production will also be professionally filmed, with DVDs and USB drives available for purchase.

Tickets are sold directly through the theatre box office. Please use the link below to purchase your tickets.

Date: Friday 11 September 2026

Location: Robert Blackwood Hall, Monash University, Clayton

Show time: 6:45 pm

Expected finish: 9:20 pm (approx.)

Student arrival: All students must arrive at the theatre between 5:45 pm and 6:00 pm.

Important: All students must remain at the theatre for the entire performance and cannot be collected during the show.

Which Seats Should I Choose?

Robert Blackwood Hall is a beautiful theatre, and every seat provides a great view of the stage.

However, some classes perform predominantly on one side of the stage. You may therefore wish to select seats on the same side as your child’s class.

This is only a guide, and students may move throughout the performance. If you have children in multiple classes, you may wish to select seats closer to the centre.

When facing the stage from the audience:

Mostly towards the LEFT side of the theatre:

Prep D, Prep R, 1M, 1P, 2C, 3A, 3P, 4H, 5C, 5M, 6M

Mostly towards the RIGHT side of the theatre:

Prep C, Prep H, 1K, 1J, 2T, 3B, 3S, 4P, 5P, 5S, 6L

Mostly towards the CENTRE of the theatre:

2N, 4R

Smoke-Free Venue

To support the health and wellbeing of everyone at Monash, the University is now SMOKE-FREE across all campuses and sites, including all buildings and grounds.

More information regarding the dress rehearsal and performance arrangements will be provided soon.

Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm for our wonderful production. We can't wait to see our students bring Beauty and the Beast Jr. and Belle’s Book Shop to life!
