This fortnight's Spotlight is on.... STAGE 1 - Year 1 & Year 2
Year 1 has had a wonderful start to Term 4! It’s hard to believe we are already heading towards the end of the year. The students have returned excited and have been working hard while having lots of fun along the way. In Religion, we have been learning about the Creation Story and discussing how God created our world. In English, students have been busy writing imaginative narratives, using their creativity to craft interesting characters and events. In Geography, we have been learning all about places and what makes them special to different people and communities.
In Mathematics, we have been exploring number patterns, looking for clues and using our skip-counting knowledge to continue and create patterns of our own. The students enjoyed working together, sharing their thinking, and challenging themselves to spot different number relationships.
Here are some photos of us exploring number patterns in Mathematics!

We can’t believe we’re already in Term 4!
Year 2 have hit the ground running and have been busy exploring geometric measurement, with a particular focus on halves, quarters and eighths.
We are also busily preparing for our Year 2 Showcase in Week 8, on Tuesday 1st, and warmly invite parents to join us from 8:30–9:00am to celebrate the wonderful work the students have been doing in their English lessons.
We have some exciting excursions coming up this term:
Stage 1 Excursion to Kamay Botany Bay National Park on 18th November
Stage 1 Incursion on 8th December
The children are beginning to prepare for their transition to Stage 2 and are excited for what is to come. It’s going to be a busy and exciting final term!
