Last Sunday’s Gospel from Matthew is known as The Beatitudes.
The Beatitudes are Jesus’ teachings about how to live a life centred on love, kindness and faith. They remind us that true happiness comes not from what we have, but from the way we treat others and the choices we make each day.
At our school, The Beatitudes are lived out when students show compassion to a classmate, act as peacemakers in the playground, persevere through challenges, and choose to do what is right, even when it is difficult. These teachings encourage us to be people of humility, mercy, respect and courage.
As we journey through Term 4, The Beatitudes continue to guide our actions and relationships. They remind us that every member of our community has a role to play in creating a welcoming, supportive and faith-filled environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
While the end of the year is drawing closer and excitement is building, it is important that we continue to approach each day with the same enthusiasm, effort and positive attitude that have helped make this year so successful.
Term 4 is a valuable time for consolidating learning, celebrating achievements and finishing the year on a positive note. We encourage parents to talk to their children and set small personal goals for the remainder of the year, to take pride in their work and continue striving to do their best both in and out of the classroom.
By working together, students, staff and families can ensure a strong and successful finish to the school year. We look forward to celebrating the many accomplishments of our students in the weeks ahead.
