Education in Faith

Advent
This week, our students started their Advent journey.
We are reminded that Advent is a time of waiting. Not the restless kind of waiting. It is hopeful waiting. It symbolises light breaking into darkness. Even one small flame can push back the night. We are encouraged to look forward with confidence, even when life is uncertain or difficult. We are called to be people of hope for others. Lifting up those who are struggling and shining light in their lives.
We begin Advent with the Candle of Hope because hope comes first. Before we can feel joy,
peace or love, we need to believe that good things can happen and that God is already with us, helping us each day.
This candle guides our hearts toward the promise of Jesus - a hope that lights our way and encourages us to prepare for His coming with faith.
St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal
We are delighted to begin our St Vinnies Christmas Appeal. This is a meaningful opportunity for our school community to come together and support families who need a little extra care this Christmas.
Our collection will run for the next two weeks.
As we enter this season of hope and generosity, we invite you to support our St Vincent de Paul Christmas Appeal.
If you are able to donate, please ensure that all items are:
- in their original packaging
- unused
- within their use-by date
Every contribution, big or small, makes a meaningful difference.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity in helping us share the spirit of Christmas with others.
Together, we have the opportunity to bring real hope to families who are reaching out for support this Christmas.
