HOLY ROSARY SCHOOL HOUSE MASSES
SHROVE TUESDAY - PANCAKES - THANK YOU!
Our Lenten season always begins with the Catholic tradition of eating pancakes on the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. This celebration is a symbolic action that helps us to prepare for the following 40 days of fasting and abstinence. We wish to thank our parent volunteers who came in last Tuesday morning to make sure all classrooms enjoyed a freshly made pancake before play 1.
PROJECT COMPASSION
This Lent, our school community is invited to be a part of something incredible. Once again, we are called to stand hand in hand with thousands of others across the country and Unite Against Poverty by supporting Caritas Australia’s Project Compassion.
By taking home a Project Compassion donation box this year, you’ll be answering the Gospels’ call to care for our global family and walk alongside the most vulnerable. Your generosity will enable Caritas Australia to provide life-changing support to communities facing poverty, food insecurity, lack of education and water shortages, while building resilience against future challenges.
Together, through faith and action, we can bring hope and opportunity to those most in need.
THE BIG WATER WALK
WE NEED YOUR EMPTY MILK BOTTLES!
If your family drinks milk at home, we would love your help! As we get ready for our Big Water Walk in Week 9, we’re collecting clean, empty 2L and 3L milk bottles to help make the event a huge success!
How you can support:
- Save 2L or 3L milk bottles
- Make sure they are washed out and dried
- Send them to Miss Doyle’s classroom over this fortnight
