Student Wellbeing

Student Engagement at Corpus Christi 2026
Dear Families,
Last week, our students explored the R U OK? curriculum throughtheir wellbeing. They learned that a simple question can be the beginning of an important conversation.
Through age-appropriate activities and discussions, children have been learning how to notice when someone might not be feeling okay, ask “Are you OK?”, listen with care, and seek help from a trusted adult when needed.
We have also been exploring the importance of looking out for one another and understanding that everyone experiences different feelings and challenges.
Our learning reminds us that small acts of kindness, connection and care can make a big difference.
R U OK? reminds us that we don't need to have all the answers – sometimes, simply being there and listening is a wonderful way to support a friend.
Holiday Wellbeing Activities
With the school holidays just around the corner and the weather warming up, there are plenty of opportunities for families to get out and enjoy some quality time together.
The Melbourne Royal Show returns from Thursday 24 September to Sunday 4 October, with animals, rides, entertainment, showbags, food and plenty of family-friendly activities.
For more ideas, take a look at What’s On Melbourne – School Holiday Activities, which has a great range of events and activities happening across Melbourne. There are also plenty of free and low-cost options, including library activities, nature play, markets, outdoor adventures and family events.
As the days get warmer, why not enjoy a family picnic at a local park, explore a walking or bike trail, visit a playground, head to the beach or discover a new spot in your local community?
Sometimes the simplest activities provide the best opportunities to slow down and connect.
Whatever you choose to do these holidays, stay safe, enjoy the sunshine and, most importantly, make time for quality moments together as a family.
Spending quality time together, sharing experiences and making memories is a wonderful way to support everyone’s wellbeing, strengthen family connections and help us all feel happy, safe and connected.
We look forward to seeing everyone after the holidays.
Positive Behaviour for Learning
The weekly PBL rule is drawn from our Behaviour Matrix. Each week our children focus on a whole school rule that meets our five school expectations.
This week’s PBL focus is:
We are RESPONSIBLE (Online)
We are learning to use headphones correctly and charge our chromebooks.
