St Kilian’s Parents & Friends Committee

Term Update

Dear St Kilian’s School Community,

As we come to the end of another busy term, the St Kilian’s Parents & Friends Committee would like to take the opportunity to share some of the wonderful things we have achieved together this term.

We are pleased to announce that our Pie Drive raised an amazing $812.85! A huge thank you to everyone who supported the fundraiser by purchasing pies, spreading the word and helping make it such a success. Every contribution makes a difference and helps us provide additional opportunities and resources for our students and school community.

🎄 A New Look for Our Christmas Fair!

This year, we are excited to be changing things up and introducing a new format for our annual Christmas Fair.

We will be holding a Twilight Fair on Friday 20th November, giving our school community the opportunity to come together for an evening of fun, food and festivities.

The committee will be holding our first Christmas Fair Planning Meeting on Tuesday 15th September, 6pm in the Boardroom of the new Admin Building where we will begin putting plans in place and discussing ideas for making this year's event another great success.

We would love to welcome some new parents to join us in the planning! You don't need to have been involved with the P&F before, and you don't need to make a long-term commitment. Whether you have lots of ideas, a particular skill you can contribute, or simply a little time to spare, we would love to have you involved.

🏃 Colour Run Update

We also wanted to provide an update on our planned Colour Run for the students in Term 4.

While we were very excited about the idea of bringing this event to the school, with our current committee being quite small, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Colour Run.

We are hoping to place the Colour Run on the school fundraising calendar for early 2027, when we can give it the time, planning and support it deserves and make it a fantastic experience for our students.

This is also a great reminder of just how important parent involvement is. The more help and assistance we can get, the more activities and events we will be able to host for our school community. Even a small amount of your time or help can make a big difference.

💛 Get Involved!

Our Parents & Friends Committee is always looking for new parents and families to get involved. You don't have to join the committee permanently — helping with one event, sharing an idea, lending a hand with planning or volunteering your time can all make a huge difference.

Our goal is to create fun experiences and opportunities for our students while bringing our school community together. We would love to see more families involved so that, together, we can continue to grow what the P&F is able to offer.

Thank you once again to everyone who has supported the Parents & Friends Committee this term. We truly appreciate your generosity, encouragement and support.

We look forward to seeing many of you at our Christmas Fair Planning Meeting on Tuesday 15th September, 6pm in the Boardroom of the new Admin Building and working together to make our Twilight Fair on Friday 20th November a fantastic event for our students, families and the wider St Kilian’s community.

Warm regards,

Elisha Bahen, Abbey Meggs and St Kilian’s Parents & Friends Committee
