Thought Your Sporting Days Were Over? Think Again

Murrumbidgee Local Health District (MLHD) is looking for men aged 65 and older to participate in a research pilot. We provide exercise classes for older adults across the MLHD area including Junee, but unfortunately very few men attend. Men have told us they want an exercise that is team based, is competitive, and Men Only so we are conducting a Walking Basketball pilot for 12 weeks. We will also conduct research to determine whether Walking Basketball is a feasible exercise activity and can provide health benefits. 

Games will run on Tuesdays at 9:30am at the Junee Recreation Centre starting on September 16th. Registrations close on September 9th. No experience is necessary and there is no cost. You can register via this QR Code or collect a registration form and research information from the front office at Junee Health Service.
