Kinder

Kinder have been enjoying the creativity of Bush Kindy with Mrs Sandral!

They have been designing mandalas using elements from nature and making their very own paint.

After digging up dirt with sticks, mixing in flour with their hands, adding water and a tiny dash of washing up detergent, it was time to paint. They chose to add some food colouring - red (bottle brush/ earth), blue (sky/water) yellow (sun/wattle) and green (grass/trees) - all colours of nature. They used pine cones, twigs, pine leaves and hands to create their artwork and were are amazing little artists, presenting their pieces at the NAIDOC Assembly.

....and probably the most favourite thing of all in Bush Kindy - our little adventurers ate Wattleseed Ice-Cream. It was a huge hit! Some even went back for seconds and even thirds.

Stage 2

On Wednesday with Miss Kerr, Stage 2 had the privilege of listening to an extraordinary panel of Olympians who are just as passionate about STEM as they are about their sport.

Students discovered how a background in science fuels elite athletes and learned how our own passions can pave the way to an extraordinary career. This Inspiring Australia NSW initiative is supported by the Australian Government as part of National Science Week.

Some of our students even had some of their questions answered by the Olympians on the panel. For instance, Blake Cochrane, an Olympic swimmer born without fingers or toes, answered Oliver's question about how quickly he could swim 50m. For those who are curious, the answer was 26 seconds!
