Defence News- Anzac Assembly & Display

ANZAC Day Assembly

Our school community came together to commemorate ANZAC Day in a respectful and meaningful assembly, hosted by our Defence Mentor, Deb Thompson. The assembly provided an opportunity for students and staff to reflect on the service and sacrifice of those who have served our country.

Our choir sang beautifully, setting a calm and reflective tone, our Defence students spoke with confidence and sincerity as they shared readings that honoured the spirit of the ANZACs. Their contributions were thoughtful and showed a genuine understanding of the importance of the day.

We thank Deb for her planning, effort and thoughtfulness in bringing the assembly together, along with all students involved, for helping create a moment of reflection and respect for our whole school community.

ANZAC Display

Students in 1405 and 1406 worked together to create a detailed ANZAC display, with each class contributing both artwork and writing.

Students created a large wreath, surrounded by poems and vibrant sunrise paintings featuring soldier silhouettes. The display brings together a range of art techniques and written pieces, highlighting the effort, creativity, and pride students have taken in their work.

We are incredibly proud of the care and respect shown by our students in bringing this display together. It serves as a meaningful reminder for our school community during this important time.
