As our sunflower matured and reached the end of its lifecycle, a new life cycle behan in the science room in week 9 - WE HAVE HATCHED CHICKENS! After 18 days in the incubator, our first chick emerged on Monday the 23rd of March. There were three more the next morning, followed by two more that day. In total we have ended up with 8 healthy chicks and they will now live in a brooder box with a heat lamp, food and water for the next 6 weeks of growth. A special thanks to our resident expert Beth Diviny who supplied the incubator, brooder box and her wealth of knowledge! Have a lovely Easter!
