Footy Round Up

The year 6 students had the pleasure of questioning 4 WAFL & 6 AFL players for their question and answering session. Some students won St Kilda bouncy balls as prizes for their questions. Unfortunately, it was the same day some of the Year 6 girls were out conquering the soccer scene, so we were missing some extra saint fans in the audience. They also gave us some posters to put up advertising footy clinics over the holidays - there is one near the front door to the office.

Our Year 6 girls AFL teams had a great day out at Lloyd Park in the cold last Tuesday. They participated in our annual district lightning premiership, where both teams won all but one of their games (4 out of 5). Unfortunately, that loss was to the eventual winners of both competitions in Pearcedale and Langwarrin PS respectively, which meant both Woodlands teams finished runners up.

The girls played some impressive football throughout the day, taking some nice marks, linking up with handballs and kicking some great goals along the way.

Congratulations and well played to all students involved.
