Northern Peninsula Division Football

Earlier this week our Year 6 boys AFL 9’s team travelled down to Mt Martha for the Northern Peninsula Division finals. The boys had two games for the afternoon, playing against fellow district winners from within our division.

Our first game was a tough encounter against St. Joachims Catholic School from Carrum Downs. The boys managed to get out to 4 goal lead before being pegged back late in the second half. Woodlands managed to hold on and were winners by 8 points in the end.

In our second game, the boys really hit their straps against St. Brendan's from Somerville. Blitzing the first half, the boys kicked 5 unanswered goals to lead 32-1 at Half time. A few more goals for either side in the second half saw the boys win 57-14 and progress through to the regional finals as Division Champs!
