Japanese Showcase

I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Year 7 Japanese Showcase evening. There were excited parents, nervous students and prepared teachers, ready to showcase their famous Japanese person and present their learning from this year.

The joy was palpable and many of the parents I spoke to could not believe how amazing it was. When I spoke to the students, they were animated and really enjoyed the evening – even though the thought of speaking Japanese to others was often terrifying.

These evenings do not come together without the hard work and dedication of the staff. To Bianca Inoue, Natasha McKenzie and Maisy Leung, thank you for the guidance and time you have put in, during class, lunchtimes and afterschool, to allow our students to shine. To Yifei Guan, thank you for taking photos as a memory of the evening.
