Gospel Message - God Waits For Us With Patience

This Sunday we celebrate the third Sunday of Lent.

In Sunday’s Gospel we learn that God is patient.

God always waits for us to change our bad habits and turn to the light.

Although we sometimes do the wrong thing, God is full of mercy and compassion.

God wants us to think about the way we treat others

and work at building positive relationships with those around us.

Prayer:

Loving and generous God,

you are a patient and loving companion to us.

Help us to change our ways and turn to you.

May we be kind and understanding with each other

and be just as patient with others as we want God to be with us.

Give us a kind and generous spirit so that we may reflect your love in all we do.

We ask this in Jesus’ name.
