Prayer for Peace and Healing
Loving God,
In this time of sorrow and shock, we turn to You with heavy hearts. We pray for all who have lost their lives in the Bondi tragedy and for their families and loved ones. Lord, bring comfort to the broken hearted and strength to those who care for the wounded. Surround our communities with Your peace and protection. Help us to be instruments of hope and compassion, standing together in faith and love. May Your light shine in the darkness, and may Your grace guide us toward healing and unity. We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Dear Parents and Carers,
What an incredible few weeks to end Term Four and our 2025 school year.
It was a wonderful celebration of the end of our school year with Mass celebrated by Fr John Paul, organised by Ms Oliver and lead by our Year Five and Six students. Thank you to all of our parents, carers and families for being in attendance and celebrating our Year 6s with morning tea. To continue the celebrations Miss Meares and I got to take the Year 6s to Black Sheep for Lunch.
At our End of Year Mass, we announced our student leadership structure for 2026. I congratulate our new Sport Leaders, Lucas, Tyler, Max, Kayde, Braxton, Abel, Matilda and Billy. In their applications and interviews, each of them displayed a keenness to lead our school in sporting events, while growing their leadership skills and assisting all students at Sacred Heart School to grow in their sporting skills.

We also announced our School Leaders for 2026, Lexi, Charlotte and Harriet. Our leadership structure in 2026 will reflect our senior class, a Year Four/Five/Six class. Our focus for our School Leaders in 2026 is to use their interest in leadership to help them grow in their skills and knowledge of leadership, and to provide them practical opportunities to apply their new skills.

We also celebrated and thanked our families who are officially finished their journey of education at Sacred Heart School as their cherubs have graduated Year 6. Thank you to the Jeffs, Nagy, Sandilands and Whiteley families for entrusting your cherubs to us, being valued members of our school community and best of luck as you tackle Year 7 alongside your cherubs next year.
Thank you again to our local organisations and businesses that supported our 2026 School Awards.

Christmas Holiday Prayer
Loving God, as we celebrate the birth of Your Son, Jesus, we thank You for the joy of Christmas and for the gift of family, friendship and rest. Bless our homes with peace, laughter and love. Keep us safe as we travel and enjoy our summer holidays together. May the light of Christ, born in Bethlehem, guide us in faith, kindness and hope, now and in the year ahead.
Amen.
