Breakfast Club

We launched our very first Foodbank Breakfast Club this week and it was wonderful to see so many children enjoying a healthy breakfast to start their school day. Please contact the office if you would like to help with setting up, serving and cleaning up. Volunteering is a fantastic way to meet other parents and help our students have a positive start to the day.

Hearing Awareness Week

This week is Hearing Awareness Week which is a time to raise awareness about hearing loss and celebrate inclusivity. At Mount View Primary School, we are incredibly proud of the outstanding education we provide through our Deaf Facility, ensuring that all students can thrive. Our dedicated Teachers of the Deaf bring expertise, care, and commitment to supporting our students, fostering both academic success and a strong sense of belonging. This week, we acknowledge their incredible work and reaffirm our commitment to an inclusive learning environment where every child is valued. I also acknowledge every member of our staff team for the work they do to support our Deaf Facility students

School Review

Every four years, all Victorian government schools undertake a School Strategic Review. This process is led by an independent school reviewer who works alongside a review panel consisting of members of the school leadership team and external challenge partners who are principals from neighbouring schools.

Our two‑day review will take place on Monday 23 March and Wednesday 25 March. During the review, the panel will examine school achievement data, conduct classroom observations, and hold focus groups with staff, students, and parents.

Brian Collins, our independent reviewer, will be leading a Parent Focus Group at 3:00pm on Wednesday 25 March. We warmly invite parents to come along and share your perspective on what the school is doing well and areas where we can continue to improve. Please complete this form if you would like to be a part of the focus group.

The findings from the School Review will directly inform the development of our Strategic Plan for the next four years, ensuring our school continues to grow and thrive.
