Hello from PH

Prep H have had a wonderful start to the year. We have been playing lots of games to help build our social skills and make new friends.

Numeracy

In Maths we have been exploring numbers and shapes. We learnt the importance of the number zero and made ourselves using lots of different shapes!

Literacy

We have started using our mini whiteboards to practise getting ready for our phonics lessons, using lots of lines and circles that will help us write letters. We have been learning about how sounds are made with our vibrating vocal cords and our nose and our mouths! Our favourite was the sound /nnnn/ because you can’t make it when you block your nose!

We have also been practising writing our name using one capital letter at the beginning.
