WCPS Open Day & Public Education Week Assembly

Thank you to all who attended our Open Day and Assembly last Friday celebrating all things Public Education. We started the afternoon off with a visit to the classrooms with families and community to engage with students in their learning.

We then all headed into the break to enjoy recess with our families and staff. To conclude the day, we held our first school assembly for Term 3. We acknowledged students who have worked within this year's theme for Public Education Week "Inspiring Excellence" with awards. Our class awards were handed out, and we also crowned our Athletics Champions with their shields and medallions. Performances from K/1B with the "Dingley Dangly Scarecrow", 2/3O with "Dancing through the Decades" and 4/5/6T who performed a synchronized swimming item that was enjoyed by everyone.
