Hello DPW Community,

End of Term

A reminder to families that school finishes today at 2:30pm.

That’s it. Term 1 has finished. It seems to have gone by so quickly!  

I am looking forward to the next term, and am excited about the term’s opportunities for growth, fun, and learning. Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community.

Wishing you all a wonderful break and a relaxing time with your families!

School Tours for Foundation 2027

Enrolments for Foundation 2027 will open next term.

School tours for families are offered on the following dates:

Thursday 7th May – 10am

Tuesday 26th May – 2:30pm

Wednesday 10th June – 12pm

We warmly welcome all families with a child starting school in 2027 to visit the office and collect an enrolment pack.

Volunteer Induction

This term we held one Volunteer Induction Session. It was great to have so many family members and carers attend! Induction covers the Child Safe Standards and OH&S information about our school. We are excited to see the varied ways our volunteers will be supporting us. Many are looking forward to assisting with excursions and helping in the library. 

Volunteers could also:

• Assist with the preparation and supervision of our breakfast club program
• Assist with preparation of whole school events
• Assist with our specialist programs, such as Art, PE and the library
• Work with small groups of students e.g. reading a story, playing learning games, publishing writing
• Facilitate or assist with a lunchtime club e.g. gardening, art, sport

• Assist with fundraising events

   

And overall, provide a positive role model that encourages students to be the best person and learner they can be.

The next Volunteer Induction session will be held on Friday 8th May at 9:15am. If you interested in attending, please register at the office and pick up your information pack. Please note that you require to have a current Working with Children Check.
