July, 16 2026

Welcome back to Term 3. It’s been fantastic seeing our students, staff and families return with such positivity and enthusiasm. Even with the chilly Melbourne mornings, they’ve settled in and brought great energy into classrooms.

We’re looking forward to an exciting term filled with learning, growth, and plenty of moments to celebrate together. Thank you for your ongoing support; it truly strengthens our school community.

CURRICULUM DAY- Monday July 20

On Monday, our staff will be taking part in a Curriculum Day alongside our colleagues from Templestowe Park PS, Anderson Creek PS and Warrandyte PS. The day will be held offsite at the Manningham Civic Centre where teachers will continue building their knowledge of the Science of Learning and best‑practice literacy instruction. A key focus will be strengthening the planning and delivery of high‑quality comprehension instruction to support all learners. Please note that there will be no staff onsite on this day.

FRIDAY JULY 17

As shared earlier this week, we extend our heartfelt sympathy to Miss Elissa and Georgina Daniel on the loss of their beloved husband and son, Nick. Thank you to all families who have reached out with kind messages, your support has been deeply appreciated.

The school will remain open tomorrow, though many staff will be attending the memorial service. Classes will be split and combined to ensure smooth supervision. Thank you to families who have let teachers know their children will be absent; this helps us plan effectively for the adjusted program.

REMINDER

A quick reminder that, in line with our school policy, dogs are not permitted on school grounds during the operational hours at school (7 am - 6 pm). While we know many families love bringing pets on the school run, this rule helps us keep all students safe, especially those who may feel anxious around animals or have allergies.

Keeping dogs off the grounds also ensures our play areas remain clean and safe for students throughout the day. We appreciate your support in maintaining a calm and comfortable environment for everyone.

CONGRATULATIONS

Congratulations to Miss Plumridge and her partner, Blake, on their engagement over the holiday break. We’re delighted for them and wish them every happiness.
