Foundation Enrolments for 2027

Do you have a child at kinder that will be starting school next year? If yes, you will need to complete a student enrolment form and return to me with supporting documents ASAP.  The cut-off date for enrolment forms is Friday 31st July. 

You can email me at kerry.parfett@education.vic.gov.au to request a form or call me via the office on 03 9306 9481.

No Family Time this week...

A friendly reminder that Family Time does not run during the first and last weeks of term, so there will be no Family Time this week.  But what an amazing term 2 we've had! Family Time has been filled with fun, laughter, creativity, friendship, and, of course, just a little bit of chaos along the way.

A huge thank you to Atika (mum of Eliot & Ilena) and Rhoda (mum of Ahmed, Tannah and her little helper Amira) for all the organisation, preparation and enthusiasm they bring to Family Time each week. Their efforts help make it such a fun and much-loved part of Team Westbreen.

We are currently looking for a volunteer who may be able to assist with the weekly set-up, and sometimes pack-up, for Family Time. If you are interested in helping, please contact me for more information. If you know Atika or Rhoda, feel free to have a chat with them about what the role involves.

As I have been away for a few Family Time sessions recently, we haven't shared photos in the newsletter for a while. So, we're making up for it by including some wonderful snapshots from the past few weeks. Family returns in week 2 of term 3, Thursday 23rd July. 

I hope you enjoy the two-week break. Stay warm, stay safe, and I look forward to seeing everyone back next term.

Westbreen Community Playgroup

Our Westbreen Community Playgroup has continued to be a wonderful place for families with young children to connect, play and learn together. Each Tuesday morning, children enjoy a range of activities that encourage exploration, creativity and social interaction, while parents and carers have the opportunity to meet other local families and build friendships within our community.

A heartfelt thank you to Rhoda Khaled for coordinating the program and helping create such a welcoming and inclusive space for all who attend.  A special thank you to Rhoda's daughter, Amira, who also helps her mum with set up and pack up, as well as welcoming the children and showing them around. 

We look forward to seeing our playgroup families again in Term 3.
