Principal's Report
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome back to all of our students, families, and staff for the start of Term 3! I hope the winter holiday provided your family with some well-deserved rest, relaxation, and quality time together, despite the chilly Melbourne weather.
Walking through the school grounds this week, it has been wonderful to see the classrooms buzzing with energy once again. The children have returned with bright smiles, full of stories from their break, and ready to dive straight back into their learning.
Term 3 is traditionally one of our most dynamic and productive terms of the school year. Over the next ten weeks, our students will be engaging in deep learning across all subject areas, with a strong focus on tracking their personal growth and challenging themselves to achieve their best.
Beyond the classroom, we have a calendar packed with rich experiences. We are particularly excited for two major milestones this coming month: our highly anticipated Whole School Production of Alice the Musical on Thursday, 6th August, and the sacred celebration of our Year 6 Sacrament of Confirmation on Tuesday, 18th August.
A project of this scale requires immense dedication, and I would like to extend a special thank you to Mrs Susan Williams, our Performing Arts Teacher & Leader, for all of her incredible work in preparing the students for the production.
I would also like to express our sincere gratitude to our groundsman, Danny Benoiton. Danny worked tirelessly during the school holidays to prepare our new memorial garden space, a beautiful area dedicated to honoring our departed staff members. We are incredibly grateful for his hard work in creating this meaningful space for our school.
As a community grounded in faith, hope, and love, we look forward to supporting our Year 6 candidates as they prepare for this special step in their faith journey. We will continue to encourage all our students to look out for one another, show kindness, and live out our school values every day.
A strong partnership between home and school is vital to the success of our students. Thank you for your ongoing support, engagement, and dedication to making St. Patrick’s such a welcoming place. No Assembly next week
Please note that there will be no assembly next week as we will be holding the P & F Disco in the hall.
Junior Disco: 3:30pm - 4:30pm
Senior Disco: 4:45pm - 6:00pm
It is also a P & F Casual Clothes day on this day with the theme of disco clothes/fluro for students. Students are to bring in a $2 gold coin donation to go towards the P&F fundraising efforts.
Prep 100 Days of School
Tomorrow marks a very special occassion for our prep students. It is their official 100 days of school celebration. Well done to our Prep staff - Teachers and Learning Support Officers for such a successful start to our students' education at Primary school. We will be acknowledging our Prep Students in assembly on Friday.
Grandparents Morning and Mass
On Tuesday 28th July we will be holding our annual Grandparents Day Mass and classroom visits. We will continue, based on the feedback from last year, to have the Mass at Midday to allow for a less rushed morning.
10:00am - 11:00am - Grandparents to visit classrooms to see the students in action.
11:00am - 11:50am - Morning Tea in the hall for Grandparents

12:00pm - 1:00pm - Whole School Grandparents Day Mass in the Church
Parking and School Crossing information
Kingston City Council’s Parking Enforcement team will be commencing school patrols and applying the road rules to ensure compliance and safety around schools in the morning and afternoon throughout the week.
Council will be prioritising schools that receive concerns from School Crossing Supervisors and concerns from public, the schools themselves with parking enforcement.
Council’s Parking Enforcement team will be enforcing the road rules for illegal parking that is observed, as there has been sufficient education throughout the year.
Council is continuing with conducting assessments with School Crossing Supervisors for their well-being and any support they require, so you may see an increase in officers around schools.
School’s may be contacted regarding children that are not adhering to the crossing supervisors instructions, and may require teachers for further assistance.
