Three Way conferences and parent interviews

In week 4, parents and carers are invited to attend three way conferences/parent interviews with their child's teacher.  Bookings can be made through School Bytes.

3 Way Conferences take time (10 minutes), and to ensure that all parents and students have the opportunity to meet with their class teacher, please choose an interview time from the availability lists for each class teacher which you will find open in School Bytes and will close Friday 8 May or alternatively phone conferences are also an option.

NSW Public Schools Parent Survey.

In Term 2, we are inviting parents and carers to participate in the NSW Public Schools Parent Survey. The survey gives you the opportunity to share your experience at our school, including communication, inclusion, wellbeing and how your child’s learning is supported.

Hearing directly from our parents and carers will help us understand what’s working well and where improvements can be made. Participation in the survey is optional, your responses are anonymous, and it takes around 10 to 15 minutes to complete. You can access the survey at https://surveyme.education.nsw.gov.au/sc/bGn1-ThDd_SF_QDSgbudEw2

Further information about the NPSS Parent Survey is available at https://education.nsw.gov.au/npss

WELLBEING- You Can Do It!

3 Mental Health Facts:

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness means paying attention to what's happening right now — like how you're breathing, what you're thinking, or how your food tastes. It's about noticing the little things in everyday moments, whether you're walking, writing, being creative, or just feeling your feelings.

Parasympathetic Breathing

Slow, deep breathing turns on your body’s calming system (parasympathetic nervous system), helping your heart slow down, your muscles relax, and your body feel calm.

Being Present

When you really focus on what you're doing — like mixing ingredients while baking — your brain actually gets stronger! Paying full attention helps your brain make new connections, kind of like doing a workout. The more you practise being present, the better your focus and creativity get. So cool!

Have a great week.
