Golden Heritage

Today, our Year Six students had the privilege of hosting members of the Golden Heritage Club, a distinguished group of Trinity College Old Boys who graduated more than fifty years ago. The day was filled with meaningful conversations, shared stories, and memorable experiences that brought together generations of Trinity men. 

The visit began in our classrooms, where the Old Boys joined students to reflect on their time at Trinity College and the paths they have followed since leaving school. The boys were fascinated by stories of school life from decades ago and were intrigued by the many changes in facilities, routines, learning experiences and perhaps the discipline techniques over the years. It provided a valuable opportunity for students to gain a deeper appreciation of the College’s rich history while considering how education has evolved across generations. 

Following the classroom visits, students and guests enjoyed lunch together, allowing relationships to develop further through informal conversation and shared experiences. The visit concluded at our Junior School Assembly in Gibney Hall, where members of the Golden Heritage Club were recognised and celebrated by the wider Junior School community.  

On behalf of the Junior School staff and Year Six students, I extend my sincere thanks to the gentlemen who generously shared their time, wisdom, and stories with us. We are also grateful to the Trinity Old Boys Association (TOBA) for their exceptional support and coordination in making this special intergenerational event possible.

Performing Arts Festival Reminder  

Next week marks the commencement of the 37th Annual Performing Arts Festival for Catholic Schools & Colleges, with many of our students proudly representing the College. The festival will run from Friday, 24 July to Friday, 5 September 2026 across a range of venues. 

Please keep an eye on your inbox for emails from Ms Lisa Krogh (Performing Arts Administration), who will provide important information regarding performance schedules, venues and arrival times. 

For all performances, students are required to wear their full winter uniform, without their jumper. Please note that, despite the uniform requirements listed on the festival schedule, the music tie is not compulsory for our Junior School students. 

If your child is timetabled to wear their sports uniform on the day of a performance, they should come to school dressed in their full formal winter uniform and bring their sports uniform to change into later in the day. This will help ensure formal uniforms are not accidentally left at home when they are needed for festival performances.  

Thank you for your support in helping our students be well prepared. We wish all of our performers the very best as they showcase their talents throughout the festival. 

Additional Reminder for Thursday 30 July 

Students involved in String Ensemble, Bass Trio, and Chamber Ensemble will need to come to school wearing their formal school uniform on Thursday 30 July. 

They should also bring: 

• Their sports uniform (to change into), and 

• Their team uniform items if they are a Year 5/6 student. 

Religious Education Assessment  

Our Year 5 boys will complete the REA in Week 3. The boys will also have a practice in Week 2 to familiarise themselves with the types of questions. All Year 5 students will participate in this assessment. If you have any questions regarding this assessment, please reach out to your son’s classroom teacher.  

Head of Junior School Forum  

Once again, all parents to attend the HOJS forum. This term’s discussion will be held on Friday 14 August (Week Four). This will be an opportunity to discuss current initiatives in the Junior School. Additionally, it will also provide an opportunity for parents to ask questions about anything they have regarding the programs within the Junior School. This will be held at 2.30 PM in the Junior School Science room. 

Reminder – Year 6 Excursion

Places Still Available 

A reminder that there are still places available for the Year 6 excursion to the St Carlo Acutis Relic and Eucharistic Miracles Exhibition on Monday, 3 August. 

This special experience includes Eucharistic Adoration, the Eucharistic Miracles Exhibition, veneration of the relic of St Carlo Acutis, and other faith-filled activities. Students will travel by bus, leaving Trinity at 11.45am and returning just after 2.00pm. 

The excursion is limited to 30 Year 6 students, with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If your son would like to attend, please complete the registration link as soon as possible.

Homework Club Afternoon Tea, Cafe Orders  

A reminder to parents that our Café now offers the option to pre-order Afternoon Tea through the Flexischools app. Afternoon Tea includes a muffin and a juice for $8.00 and will be delivered to the Junior School on the afternoon you select. 

Simply place your order via the Flexischools app before the relevant cut-off time to have Afternoon Tea delivered to your child. 

Co-Curricular Clubs Commence Next Week 

A reminder that Co-Curricular Clubs commence next week. Parents can access their son's group timetable via Clipboard to view his scheduled activities. 

If needed, you can also update your son's co-curricular enrolments through Clipboard, including booking Homework Club for any ad hoc after-school care requirements. 

Please note that all students attending Homework Club must be collected by 5.00pm.
