Healthy Food

While most students have healthy lunches and snacks, some come with lunches that are chips, biscuits, or snack foods. While these are fine sometimes, they don’t give students enough energy to learn well during the day.

A good breakfast helps students focus, remember things and stay in a better mood. A balanced lunch helps them keep their energy up in the afternoon.

If mornings are busy, even something small helps. Try: • fruit • yoghurt • toast • cereal

For lunch, adding a sandwich, wrap or dinner leftovers can help keep students full for longer.

We know that busy schedules and rising costs can make this hard. If your family needs support with food, please contact the school. We can help connect you with local support.

Primary and infants building have fridges that can store lunches throughout the day.

School Reminders

Chewing Gum There has been chewing gum around the school grounds, and it is being left on pathways and under furniture. Chewing gum is not allowed at school. Please remind your child of this rule.

Mobile Phones Mobile phones must be off and away from gate to gate. This means they are not in pockets, tucked into clothing, or turned on while in their bags.

If you need to contact your child, please call the school office and we will pass on the message. Please avoid messaging students during school hours.

School Uniform

Our students are doing a fantastic job with their uniforms and they look fantastic! Around 95% of students are wearing the correct uniform, including black shoes. Thank you for your support.

As the weather cools down, please remember that hoodies are not part of the school uniform. They can wear approved ‘Western Apparel’ that has a hoodie, but this is only on sports day (Wednesday for secondary and Friday for primary). On every other day, students should wear the red or blue school jumper.

It’s great to see students taking pride in their uniform.

Bus Safety

Parking near the school is becoming tighter while the new Preschool building is being built. Thank you for your patience.

We need to remind students about bus safety.

Students should not walk out onto the road between parked buses or cross Dry Street in the bus zone. This is very dangerous.

Students should cross Dry Street near the Science Lab gate. Students who catch buses, walk through the safety of the basketball court and walk to buses with teacher supervision.

This helps keep everyone safe before and after school.
