Our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) focus over the coming weeks will be on the value of Respect, with a particular emphasis on the expected behaviour 'I follow teacher instructions'. This is an important behaviour to focus on, as we seek to maximise every opportunity to student learning to occur, and minimise the unnecessary interruptions that can occur in our learning spaces.

At school, 'I follow teacher instructions' means that students:
Learning to follow instructions is an important life skill that supports success at school and beyond. It helps students develop independence, responsibility and respect for others in the learning environment.
You can support this focus at home by encouraging your child to listen carefully, ask questions if they are unsure, and complete tasks when they are asked. Working together as a school community helps us build respectful learning environments where teachers can teach and learners can learn.
Recently a letter was published to families, inviting you to provide consent for your child to receive PBL food rewards - Zooper Doopers and popcorn (as part of lunch time movie). There has been a terrific response from all families with a high percentage of children now having consent to receive these PBL prizes.
A reminder for any family who has yet to provide consent who wishes to do so to locate the letter titled, 'PBL Food Consent 2026' on Compass.
