Dear Parents and Carers,
Catholic Education Week – Walking in the Footsteps of Saint Patrick

This week we celebrate Catholic Education Week, a time that highlights the richness and importance of Catholic education in shaping the hearts, minds and spirits of our students. This year’s theme, “Christ beside me: Walking in the footsteps of Saint Patrick,” invites us to reflect on how we are called to live out our faith each day, guided by the example of Saint Patrick. Saint Patrick, is a Saint who is remembered for bringing Christianity to Ireland. He was known for his courage, faith and commitment to sharing the message of God’s love. He is especially significant to us here in Melbourne as the patron saint of our 'mother' Church, Patrick's Cathedral in East Melbourne, which is named in his honor. His life reminds us of the power of faith, perseverance and trust in God.
Today, Miss Mack and Mr Leighton accompanied eight of our Year 5/6 students to the MACS Catholic Education Week St Patrick's Day Mass and concert in the park. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to come together with other students attending MACS schools to celebrate our faith and identity as members of Catholic Education Melbourne. We look forward to hearing from them about this fantastic celebration and the experiences they will bring back to share with us.
May we be inspired by Saint Patrick to walk closely with Christ, showing kindness, courage and faith in all that we do.

On Thursday evening, students from Mother Teresa Primary School celebrated the Sacrament of First Reconciliation. This marks an important step in their sacramental journey, as they deepen their understanding of God’s love, forgiveness and mercy. First Reconciliation is a special moment in the life of our students, inviting them to reflect, seek forgiveness and grow in their relationship with God. As a school community, we ask that you keep these students and their families in your prayers during this sacred and meaningful time, as they continue their faith journey.
The Mother Teresa P&F Committee are organising an Easter raffle. To support the Easter raffle we are having a casual clothes day next Thursday 26th of March and are asking all students to bring in either donations of the following items: chocolate Easter Eggs, hampers, ribbon OR a gold coin donation which the P&F will then use to purchase hamper items.

The Fundraising committee have sent out today a raffle ticket sheet and envelope per child. The raffle tickets will be priced at $1.00 each or $10.00 a sheet (meaning two free entries!)
