Well done to Harper 3rd place in 100m and Keziah who came 3rd in high jump at division athletics.

From Vivi F's mum:
In the last week of term 3 Vivi represented her school and Victoria at the School Sport Australia Cross Country Championships in Sydney. Her team won 2 bronze medals. Vivi was also the Victorian Team Captain for the Cross Country Championships. This was based on her sportsmanship, leadership skills, team spirit and inclusiveness.

Excursion to Chesterfield Farm

"It was fun at the farm because the camels sucked my finger. They had dears, pigs, horses, cows and chickens. We learnt about sheep dogs. One of the sheepdogs was called Scout. He rounds up sheep and makes them go in the right places and not near the fences."
Sebastian R
"My favourite part was saying hello to the guinea pigs and they're really cute and they squeak. Most of the animals eat hay or straw or grass. We got to milk the cows - it was a bit weird but also fun."

We've been doing Tiddler by Julia Donaldson. It is about a fish called Tiddler who keeps being late for school and tells lots of stories about why he is late. No one but Little Johnny Dory believes him but it is actually real. We have an activity book about Tiddler where we practice open and closed sentences and weak medium and strong sentences.

We have been learning about Francis Greenway, a convict who designed Sydney. He had a business and then he made a mistake and ended up in prison and then sent to Australia. Then he showed the Governor Lachlan Macquarie some ideas for architecture for Sydney and he helped improve it from a messy tent city to a planned city with houses and other public buildings. He was quickly given a ticket of leave and shortly after a full pardon.

We were filling containers with different things and we then weighed them. We had to estimate how much things would weigh and what would weigh the most. I predicted sand would be the heaviest but it wasn't - it was marbles.
