Dear Parents,
Congratulations to our Term 2 SRC class representatives who will attend weekly meetings with Ms Lloyd. The class representatives are important as they ensure another avenue for 'Student Voice' across our school. Children are encouraged to raise any issues with their representative so they can bring the information to the weekly meetings.

Tomorrow, 8th May, the P&C will hold our annual Mother's Day BBQ Breakfast commencing at 7.30 am in the top quad at school. There is no need to pre-order, just turn up and purchase breakfast on the day. The menu is below for your information. As part of our Mother's Day celebrations, we will also have a small ribbon-cutting ceremony to formally open our newly painted Canteen area at 8 am. Callum Hotham has been working for several weeks bringing our canteen area to life, and it looks spectacular. A reminder that there is no Mother's Day stall this year. We can't wait to see all our mums on Friday.
Tomorrow, 8th May, we will also hold our CWA Public Speaking Competition school finals in the McMullen Hall from 9.30-10.50 am. We can't wait to hear the fantastic presentations from the class winners. The speakers from each class will be;
Are your contact details up to date?
Sometimes we will need to contact you, including on the day that your child is absent, or if you haven’t notified the school of a reason for your child being away.
If your contact details are out of date or if you’re not sure, please contact us by phone on 63313923 or by emailing us at bathurst-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au so we can update our records and can contact you quickly when we need to.
If you speak a language other than English and need help talking with our staff, please telephone the interpreter service on 131 450. This service is free. Listen in your language or see How to contact the Telephone Interpreter Service.
Please include parent/carers name, address, phone numbers, email address and emergency contact details. Please remember to contact the school if any of these details or your circumstances change. This is particularly important so we can work together to protect our students' well-being by reporting and monitoring student absences.
Attendance Snapshot
Our Attendance Rate has fallen slightly from last week; however, more concerning is the drop in the percentage of students attending at least 90% of the time, from 81.7% to 66.2%. Research shows that students attending less than 95% are at educational risk. Regular attendance is the gateway to all other achievements at school. Improved attendance enables students to flourish in all other areas.
Class Data
Congratulations, 1/2M and 1/2G, on the highest average attendance percentage this term. And, to 1/2M, 3-6J, KM for no unexplained absences! ⭐
Wishing all our Mums, Grandmother's and significant women in our lives a lovely Mother's Day on Sunday.
If any parent has any concerns regarding any aspect of school life, please do not hesitate to contact me.
