Welcome back to the start of Term 3!
Although the weather hasn't been the most pleasant, it has been wonderful to see our students back at school, catching up with friends and settling quickly into the new term. There were plenty of exciting holiday stories shared, along with tales of relaxing family time. It also seems that Toy Story 5 was a holiday highlight for many of our students; I must admit, I thoroughly enjoyed it myself!
Term 3 is shaping up to be another busy and exciting term at Inglewood Primary School. Students can look forward to a range of sporting opportunities, Book Week celebrations (please note the change of date and be sure to add the new date to your calendar), and many engaging learning experiences across the school.
We are also looking forward to hosting our network meeting this term, with our Junior School Council proudly catering for the event. This will be a fantastic opportunity for our student leaders to showcase their teamwork, organisation and hospitality skills while representing our school community.
As communicated via email, we have recently had a staffing update. We would like to thank Zac for his contribution to Inglewood Primary School over the past 12 months and wish him every success as he begins his next chapter. We are also delighted to welcome Bree Glisner to our team, who will commence in Week 3. We look forward to the enthusiasm, skills and strong commitment to community that Bree will bring to our school.
Many families may also be aware of the upcoming industrial action. At this stage, we expect only minor disruption to our school, with some staff participating in the strike. We anticipate that we will be able to run the majority of classes and maintain a largely normal timetable for students. If you choose to keep your child at home in support of the industrial action, please notify the school through uEducateUs. Absences should be recorded using Code 901 – Industrial Action, or alternatively, we are happy to update this on your behalf.
As always, thank you for your continued support of our school. If you have any questions, concerns or are simply wondering about something, please don't hesitate to pop in for a chat. We value our partnership with families and look forward to another fantastic term of learning together.
