Tomorrow - One/Two R Assembly, 2.35pm
Dear St Michael’s School families,
PRAYER
Loving God,
We thank you for our children who will receive
the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time.
Fill their hearts with joy as they come to your table
to share in the gift of Jesus’ love.
May this special moment strengthen their faith,
deepen their friendship with you,
and remind them that they are always part
of a caring and welcoming community.
Bless their families, teachers, and all who have
guided them on their faith journey.
May your peace be with them today and always.
Amen.
SACRAMENT OF EUCHARIST
We warmly invite all families to join us in celebrating our students who will receive the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time this weekend. This milestone marks a profound moment in the faith journey of these children as they are welcomed more deeply into the life of the Church. Today, our students participated in a Eucharist Reflection Day, spending time in prayer and thoughtful discussion about the meaning of this Sacrament. They explored the readings they will hear at Mass and reflected on the significance of the Eucharist and the importance of coming together as a community to celebrate it.
We look forward to celebrating with the families over the two masses this weekend:

ST MICHAEL'S ENHANCEMENT SESSION
Thank you to the many parents and grandparent who attended last Saturday's Enhnacement Session. It's always reassuring to know that we have so many in our community happy to lend a helping hand for the many small tasks of tidying the school and weeding gardens. We couldn't do it without you!
NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS STORYTIME
Yesterday, St Michael's students joined hundreds of thousands of children and teachers around the nation participating in in National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS). This annual event celebrates the joy of reading by bringing children across Australia together to share the same picture book at the same time. We listened to the story of Luna Roo, the inspiring underdog tale about courage and perseverance. You can listen to it together as a family too right HERE.
PARENTS & FRIENDS ASSOCIATION SURVEY
Earlier this year, many of you completed a survey for our PFA to give us some feedback about how we are going and what we can do better! Check out some of the detailed feedback on our St Michael's PFA News page.
TEETH ON WHEELS
On Wednesday this week, the Teeth on Wheels dental team visited St Michael's Primary School to support our students in learning about the importance of healthy teeth and good oral hygiene habits. During their booked visits, students learnt about brushing and flossing correctly, making healthy food choices, and the importance of regular dental check-ups.
Developing positive dental hygiene habits from a young age helps children maintain strong teeth and gums, supports overall health and wellbeing, and encourages confidence in their smiles. We thank Teeth on Wheels for their informative and valuable visit to our school community.
ST MICHAEL'S KINDER KIDS SESSIONS
We look forward to all our local 3 and 4 year olds visiting us TOMORROW to join us for our Kinder Kids sessions! Get the dates on your calendar!

GARDENING THIS WEEK
Thank you to the students in Miss Jesson's Five/Six B class who this week planted some parsley in our veggie garden. Did you know that parsley promotes bone strength, supports heart health, freshens breath and helps our tummies not feel so bloated?? Keep an eye out for when our parsley is ready to harvest and you can add it to all sorts of meals when you are cooking!

St Michael's School has partnered with Advanced Psychology with a psychologist working onsite weekly. This link takes you to a blog with podcasts / webinars that deal with a variety of topics which might be of interest to parents and teachers.
